Virtual Reality... it's the past and the future, apparently. In our first not-entirely-stupid video, Digi2000's Mr Biffo takes us on a journey from the dawn of VR through to its current incarnation, and asks this question: should we believe the hype? Sorry the voice-over is a bit fuzzy in places. This lark is all new to us. Plus, Biffo was eating a kazoo. If you like... please share and subscribe. Squire, I agree with everything you said in that video (really!). I have no intention of buying a VR device just for the sake of the VR experience / looking like an idiotic mental chap. However, if a VR platform is released with a few must-have exclusive titles then I might buy it regardless of the VR capabilities. That's why I own a Virtual Boy (yes, VB Wario Land is actually pretty good!).

Even after all these years, I'm still tempted to get an old Virtual Boy. And a Vectrex.

I hope she knows that man who's "assisting" her.

Best "virtual reality" I ever experienced was the first time I saw virtua racing, 2 player cabinet (I think), in Newquay, around 1995. On loads of acid and amphetamine. With 4 mates in the same state of mind. Amazing! The arcade owner had to throw us out when the arcade closed, we could have played all night. There was also a brilliant space combat sim, never seen it before or since. Great evening.

I remember years ago I seen an "amazing virtual reality machine" at the rather ironically named Pleasure Beach in Blackpool. My memories are of the graphics looking like broken lego figures being filmed at 2 frames per second , and me, with my lawnmower man immersive headset on, forgetting people could hear and see me, saying out far too loud in the same annoying way people with headphones on talk to you, saying " man this sucks balls", and getting a slap from my father and some utterance about language. Seems nothing has changed. Except the price of space invaders. 50p a go as its now retro? Who they kidding......now where's the sherry...
