Seriously? It's the BASIC command to load a program into memory. You can put a filename between the quotes to load a program with a particular name, and there are other variants depending what computer you're typing it on, but that is pretty much it.

I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time. I couldn't even complete Magicland Dizzy. Nor did I know that you could have file names on the Spectrum... LOAD TAPE always seemed more like what it should have been? Ah well.
