MINECRAFT: SIMPSONS SKIN PACK

We've said before that we really don't get Minecraft. Well, we get it a bit - y'know, we like Lego, and as kids we built model kits (albeit badly, and never had the patience to paint the pieces before gluing them together, and then we'd use Superglue and get most of it stuck to our face).

We just think it's a shame that Minecraft inspires such creativity, but doesn't really exist. If you know what we mean.

Once upon a time, when kids built stuff there was a chance of it enduring. When the apocalypse rains down upon us now, all those amazing Minecraft creations, those vlogs, those digital achievements, are going to be lost forever. When the historians of centuries to come look back upon our civilisation there'll be nothing cultural for them to pick over. It'll all be scattered to the wind like digital dust.

This is all a drawn-out way of saying this: there's a new Minecraft Simpsons skin pack out.

Here's some information that you could probably guess without needing to read it: the Minecraft Simpsons Skin Pack, for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, will allow you to create your own blocky interpretation of Springfield, and populate it with 19 Simpsons favourites - including the entire Simpsons family, and more obscure characters, like Superintendent Chalmers, Mr Largo, Database, Hemroll, Randill Dillpick, Whirrrn, Phirrrrn, Ivory Jones, Ivory James, Sild and "Hpch".

Judging from the video below, it's all rather unintentionally horrific and disturbing. Goodbye.

The main advantage I can see Minecraft has over Lego is that Minecraft doesn't hurt so much if you tread on it with bare feet.
