Here are 12 times Mr Blobby appeared, on his endless quest for the delicious meat of the older sheep.
We all remember Mr Blobby, the best friend of Noel Edmonds, the TV beardsman. We probably remember his favourite catchphrase, "Blobby!", and his constant search for mutton. Here are 12 times Mr Blobby appeared, on his endless quest for the delicious meat of the older sheep. "TAKE ME TO THE MUTTON!" "MMMMUTTON?" "MY NEW FRIEND AND I ARE OFF TO GET SOME MUTTON, OKAY?" "PLEASE... ALL I WANT IS SOME MUTTON <SOB>..." "SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FAMILY! YOU'RE COMING WITH ME TO FIND SOME MUTTON!" "HA HA! OKAY, THAT'S ENOUGH. LET'S GO GET SOME MUTTON!" "MUTTON! MUTTON!" "MUTTON!?" "<HUFF! PUFF!> I HEAR THERE'S SOME MUTTON ABOUT!" "HELP ME! I'VE FALLEN - FALLEN IN LOVE WITH MUTTON!!!!" "MMMMMMMMUUUUUUUUT-T-T-TTONNNNNN?" "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NICOLA! PLEASE - IN WHICH DIRECTION IS THE MUTTON?"

And in the TV show Boon, starring alongside Michael Elphick was Noel (Neil) Morrissey!

My cousin, Arch, as producer of House Party, was at least partly responsible for Blobby, the tit.

I'm so sorry. That must make family occasions very difficult.

I still remember when the old PMS warehouse burnt down. Walking home from school while the air was filled with the stench of 1000s of inflatable (and seemingly highly flammable) Mr Blobbys meeting a fiery doom.

I used to bloody love going to the local 'rides n' funnelcakes' park Pleasurewood Hills when I was a kid. You know the kind of thing: lots of travelling fairground rides affixed in place, and an unnecessary, unexplained Americana theme. I'm trying to be cynical but it's not going to take: In reality, it was pretty big and I absolutely loved it. Yeah, there were a few travelling fairground rides (which were great), but they had loads of original stuff, like roller coasters, a log flume, and 'Main Street': mock-1920's shops and arcades, old-timey cars, and that staple of the pre-depression American high street, a vertical death slide.

I wonder if Noel Edmonds used cosmic ordering to summon this nightmarish pink beast to our world?

And have you seen his new show Cheap Cheap Cheap? What the Frak (BBC Micro or Acorn Electron) is going on there?

I was sure Noel was a dead cert to get rounded up by Operation Yewtree.
